Perfect for divers who want longer dives, shorter surface intervals and all-round less nitrogen in their body
Enriched air diving is better in almost every way . With more Oxygen and less Nitrogen in your tank, you can do longer dives, have shorter surface intervals and feel fewer of the effects of Nitrogen (such as tiredness after diving).
Duration : 1 half day
Pre-requisites : PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
After this course : certified to dive with enriched air up to 40% Oxygen

WHY DIVE NITROX
With less nitrogen in your tank, you can dive for longer without reaching your limits.
Nitrox (aka Enriched Air or EANx) is the most popular PADI specialty course for a reason - enriched air diving is better in almost every way.

You can dive for longer before hitting your no decompression limits. You can do more dives in a day, with shorter surface intervals in between them. You don't feel the effects of Nitrogen (especially fatigue) as much as you do with normal air.

With just a small amount of theory and a morning in the water, you can earn your Nitrox certification and start using Nitrox tanks around the world. Why wouldn't you?

COURSE OVERVIEW
Here's how it's going to work

THEORY SESSION
You'll have a brief session with your instructor to discuss what you learnt in the e-learning and use that knowledge to choose a Nitrox blend that is appropriate for your boat dives.

You will learn how to analyse the tanks for the percentage of Oxygen they contain and how to label the tanks in the correct way.
THEORY E-LEARNING
A couple of hours of independent learning will take you through the principles behind using Nitrox and the most important safety considerations that come with it.
By the end of the theory, you should feel comfortable to explain why divers prefer Nitrox, what blend of Nitrox you would choose for a particular dive and what you need to consider when diving on Nitrox.

OPEN WATER DIVES
We'll take you on the boat to do 2 open water dives using the Nitrox tanks you prepared.

There are no skills to do on these dives so they're essentially fun dives, just with an instructor supervising the first time you use Nitrox!
